Happy Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord to the whole Institute!
“Rejoice, O full of grace, the Lord is with you” Lk 1:26-38
Today is a special day for the Cabrinian family; on this very date the blessing and opening of the Novitiate of the MSC Institute in Kenya, Holy Spirit Region, took place.
Two novices have entered the novitiate: Maurine Bonareri Anyega from the Diocese of Kisii and Ruth Nasidai Mukelemani from the Diocese of Mombasa.
The Mass for the young women’s entrance into the novitiate was today at 11.00, a Eucharistic celebration that was accompanied by a blessing in the community.
The celebration was presided over by Father Odomaro Mubangizi SJ.
Participating were Sr. Patricia representing the MSC General Superior Sr. Maria Eliane and the General Council, Sr. Barbara, Regional Superior, Sr. Diane DalleMolle, member of the regional formation team, Sr. Genet, novice directress, and the two novices.
During the Mass, Sr. Patricia read the letter from Sister Eliane, Superior General, and her Council for this important moment, namely the opening of the novitiate and the ceremony to welcome the young women to the novitiate.
